I am so often reminded these days of the power of our words.
We can use the power of our words in Jesus name, we can use them to speak life over others and we can use our words to cause death and destruction.
It’s been a daily struggle to take command of my words. Some days I get it right and some days I hide both my computer and my phone so I can’t in my emotion do the opposite of how I really want to be. And yes I also have a friend who reads all emails and texts (most of which she does not allow me to send, I could put together a book of all the ones she has exerted her veto power over).
A lifelong friend shared with me that they were praying this song over my life. (She also happens to have a beautiful singing voice).
Sadly the voice in my head sounds SO much better than my audible voice! I have decided that I am not just going to sing (pray) this song (in my head of course, or at the top of my lungs in my car) over the people I love but I am also going to choose to pray it over those who have broken my heart (sadly, there are many this year). I truly believe that most people don’t inflict pain intentionally, but rather it comes from a deep pain within themselves. I know that has been the case for me.
But I know my God, and I will ask my God to move ❤️
